We present the Copey Estate Residence, one of the new models we have created for the new Cap Limón Luxury Club Residences Resort, by Lifestyle Holidays Real Estate. The resort is located in the Samaná province on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. Cap Limón will be a completely new luxury resort developed from scratch by our firm, now featuring work as resort architects in Dominican Republic. We are extremely proud of the results of this design, especially its success as a great example of energy-efficient architecture for the Dominican Republic.
Copey Estate Residence is the another of several 6-bedroom luxury residences we have designed for Cap Limón. Designing the projects for an entire resort from scratch has allowed us to create designs tailored for the specific conditions of the natural terrain in the site. As we do not believe in “cutting pads” to build homes, our philosophy is to create the minimum possible intrusion in the natural conditions, and this means designing for the land. Copey’s design is created specifically for homesites in the resort with sloping hillside conditions where the design adapts to the terrain.
Luxury Resort Residence Design by Sarco Architects in Dominican Republic
Copey Estate Residence is designed to take advantage of sloping homesites where we found continuous downslope conditions without much movement of the slope. These site conditions yielded the opportunity to create a home design with a long linear shape, with short distance front to back to allow for building on high-sloped sites.
Copey Estate Residence also is an excellent example of a luxury residence that portrays our commitment to energy-efficient architecture and environmentally friendly design. As some of our other previous award-winning designs, Copey Estate Residence is designed with a philosophy where we decide to build all circulation spaces such as hallways and staircases into the outdoor space. This reduces dramatically the amount of space in the home that will need to be air-conditioned, with the direct energy savings this represents. In the case of Copey Estate Residence, only 41% of the total home’s construction size is air-conditioned, whereas the expected norm for a luxury residence in the range of 70-75%. This is a huge step in creating energy-efficient architecture, which added to the rest of the strategies that we will implement, such as excellent thermal insulation, full LED lighting, and energy-efficient systems turn Copey Estate Residence into an extremely energy-efficient architecture design for its size.
Copey Estate Residence has two master bedrooms, with fully-glazed spacious baths to enjoy the stunning Caribbean ocean views. The master bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the main level, along with the main indoor living areas, that also features a private bar. On the lower level, we have four additional guest bedrooms, together with the expansive covered outdoor living area that connects directly with the jeweled-edge four-sided infinity edge swimming pool with integrated heated whirlpool.
The outdoor area has plenty of space for outdoor cooking, provided for the enjoyment of the in-house chef service, one of the trademarks of the new Chairmans Circle Elite, the highest level membership at Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club, created for the Cap Limón resort.
