Villa Avellana is our latest luxury home design in the exclusive Peninsula Papagayo Luxury Resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Located on a beautiful beachfront site, Villa Avellana is designed to maximize casual, laid-back and easygoing luxury, with a seamless indoor-outdoor experience throughout the home. Villa Avellana features two main ensuites, with an additional 8 guest rooms, and ample social spaces both indoors and outdoors, which allows total relaxation and enjoyment for both large and medium-sized groups.
Outdoor living is the main focus in Villa Avellana. Enjoying the amazing weather and the unequaled natural setting is a mainstay of the home. Two outdoor dining areas, a full outdoor kitchen designed for chef service, ample and multiple covered outdoor areas provide different areas to relax and unwind, read a favorite book, or simply lose yourself away in your favorite tunes. A 28 meter-long lap pool provides an amazing opportunity to relax, cool down, or get some exercise, and then get a chance to spend some time in the heated jacuzzi tub integrated into the main pool.
Perched upon the hillside, reached via a weaving staircase that hovers above the ground, is a separate pavilion that offers quiet space for an open-air massage, or get some time in on the top-level yoga deck.
Top-level service is a main consideration in Villa Avellana’s design. The main kitchen provides a spacious area to share and enjoy the time while the chefs prepare a special meal. A full-service secondary kitchen provides the area needed for preparation and main cooking without interfering with the enjoyment of the home. A full-featured outdoor bar is designed to be fully equipped and serve drinks, special concoctions, and refreshing fruit drinks to everyone around the pool and outdoor areas.
Technology and energy efficiency have also been given top focus in the design of the home, however, we believe that any technology application should only make the home’s experience more enjoyable, with a seamless and easy to operate user layer. Excessive technology and systems integration can often introduce unnecessary complexity and actually detracts from the home’s seamlessness. Technology should disappear in the background, but provide comforts and services to take them home to the next level.
